Growing Together – The Course (CD-Rom)
Church House Publishing, a London based publisher, approached Sao Silvero to create an HTML interface for a CD-ROM that was to accompany the soon to be published book, Growing Together – The Course.
The interface needed to allow users easy access to multiple resources provided on the CD-ROM including documents of course material in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format, illustrations, and audio files which were to be played both on PCs as well as on standard CD players.
We designed the interface incorporating the graphics supplied by the publisher, to be in keeping with the style of the book itself. The resources were then finalised and organised accordingly before the CD-ROM was compiled and delivered directly to the publishing house, ready for immediate printing.
This project illustrates the flexibility of browser based interfaces and how they enable easy access to information and can improve the user experience.
