New CMS Search and social networking extensions
15th January 2010
The extreme cold that the winter has thrust upon all but the luckiest of us has brought with it the opportunity to lock ourselves indoors and develop some exciting new extensions for our content management system, Sao Silvero CMS. Now that the thaw is upon us, we thought it was time to let you in on some of the things that we have been working on.
Since just before Christmas, we’ve been focusing our efforts on the concepts of self-promotion and searchability and have three new CMS extensions to show for it:
- Simple Search: A CMS search engine extension, allowing your website’s visitors to find exactly what they came for.
- The Blogfeed module: An RSS feed importer that can summarise the latest news on your blog automatically and output it as a nice news summary.
- The Twitterfeed module: A CMS plug-in module that uses the Twitter API to fetch your latest Twitter posts and outputs them on your website.
The more astute reader might already have noticed a couple of these features being used on our own website. Once fully tested and finalised we’ll be rolling these new features out for our existing CMS customers too.
If you are interested in the complete feature set of our Content Management System, you can visit our pages devoted to Sao Silvero CMS.

LocaliseTheWeb.com website delivered
9th September, 2009
We've just completed and handed over the new LocaliseTheWeb.com website. LocaliseTheWeb is a young Internet firm, specialising in translation and localisation services for individuals and businesses worldwide and their website is a great example of the Sao Silvero CMS' multilingual functionality in action. The site is already available in three languages (English, German and Dutch) with more to be added as the company grows.
The website's content and structure was pretty much established by the time The Localise The Web team approached us. The design concept was based on the existing Localise The Web logo, which provided the colour palette and styling attributes. The Localise The Web team furnished us with their remaining requirements, enabling us to come up with this design.
We love projects like this. The client knows exactly what they want, they have great content ready to go, and the website is perfectly suited to the strengths of the Sao Silvero CMS that we can really enjoy showing off what it does so well.
